from Birds by Gordon Mooney and Barbara Mooney

/

about

The Swallow's distinguishing feature is its long streamers on its forked tail that has given the name to the musicians Swallow Tail Coat. The tune evokes the fast darting flight of the swallow as it welcomes in the summer. The swallow is an amber list species due to its decline in numbers across Europe.
