The Eagles Nest

from Birds by Gordon Mooney and Barbara Mooney

/

about

The Eagles nest is an immense basket of sticks on a mountain crag, tall pine or sea cliff and is added to year after year. The nest may be used by several generations. It is repaired before the breeding season and often decorated with fresh greenery. As the downy eaglets grow the parents work hard to supply them with food.
